An epoxy resin table (often also called a river table) can suit various interior design styles, depending on its design, color choice, and the materials used. Some interior design styles that an epoxy resin table harmonizes very well with include:

  1. Modern style: Epoxy resin tables are a wonderful fit for modern interior design. With their smooth and glossy finish, they lend the room a touch of elegance and futurism. They go perfectly with clean lines, minimalist design, and a neutral color palette.
  2. Industrial style: In an industrial interior design style characterized by raw materials and an urban flair, an epoxy resin table can be an interesting addition. The contrast between the rugged charm of the industrial style and the smooth epoxy resin creates an exciting blend of rustic and modern design.
  3. Boho style: Epoxy resin tables can also be well integrated into the boho style. With their natural beauty and the vibrant colors of the resin, they complement the organic and ethnic elements of this casual and creative interior design style.
  4. Mid-Century Modern: An epoxy resin table is also a popular choice for the Mid-Century Modern style. With its smooth surface and interesting color combinations, an epoxy resin table can bring a certain retro touch to a room and harmonize with the characteristic furniture and colors of this interior design style.

It's important that an epoxy resin table harmonizes with the other elements in the room to create a cohesive overall look. Ultimately, depending on the design and color choice, an epoxy resin table can be an impressive addition to various interior design styles.

FAQ

Our store already offers a wide selection of products, and we've implemented filter functions to make your search easier. Please note, however, that all our products, especially those made with epoxy resin, are natural products, meaning each table has a unique structure and grain. We want to work with you to create a truly individual table. Browse our store for inspiration. If you find a model you like, simply order it through the shop. We'll get back to you within 24 hours with suitable wood suggestions for your epoxy resin table.

If you have any questions, you can also reach us via WhatsApp, phone, email, or one of our contact forms. We'd be happy to send you a non-binding offer along with the specifications for your desired table. If our offer meets your expectations, we'll make a preliminary selection of 1-2 wood options for your table. You'll then receive a personalized design document with the corresponding wood suggestions.

Once we've found a piece of wood you like, you confirm the offer, and we'll send you the order confirmation and the invoice for the deposit. As soon as we receive the deposit, we'll begin manufacturing your table. Your wood selection will be reserved for you for 7 days from the date of the design proposal

The production of a dining table, office desk, or sideboard typically takes about 9-14 weeks. The exact delivery time depends primarily on the dryness of the wood, as we first ensure that the wood reaches a moisture content of 8% before proceeding with the next steps. This guarantees that the table will remain stable in the long term.

For smaller tables, clocks, and serving boards, the process is usually shorter. The corresponding delivery times are listed next to or above the price in our store, so you're fully informed.

If you're in a hurry, you can also find the "In Stock" category in our store, where you can choose already finished tables from our inventory. These are usually ready to ship within a week.

The question then arises: how much space do I have for my table so that I can still move around my home without restrictions? In most cases, the longer side of the table is also the side you walk along. We recommend a distance of approximately 1 meter from walls or any decorative items.

Furthermore, care should be taken to ensure that the width of the table, minus 15-20 cm, is no greater than your living room carpet.

Of course, the number of people who will be seated at the table is also an important criterion. We recommend a length of at least 160 cm for four people, 180–220 cm for four to six people, and at least 250 cm for seven or more people. As a general rule, you should allow approximately 60 cm of space per person, although this can vary depending on the width of the chairs.

Let yourself be inspired by the grain, structure, and color of the wood on our website. Please note that each plank of wood is unique. Nevertheless, we will gladly search for the perfect wood for your dream table, paying close attention to your preferences (knots, cracks, curved edges, strong grain patterns, high sapwood content, etc.).

Currently, we offer standard powder-coated table legs made of industrial steel in U-shape, X-shape, as a cross base (spider), or classically as four individual legs. Wooden legs in oak or walnut are also available. Black powder coating is the most common and popular color, but other colors such as gray or white are available upon request. For an additional charge, some models can also be made of stainless steel. Furthermore, we can also offer wooden table bases in U-shape, X-shape, or cross base upon request and for an additional charge.

We distinguish between three different edge shapes:

  • Straight saw edge (wood edge): The simplest and most minimalist edge shape
  • Straight edge cast with epoxy resin (partly wood, partly epoxy resin): A very stylish edge shape in which the characteristic natural edges are still visible through the resin, but the overall picture still fits into the straight-lined architecture.
  • Tree edge (natural, curved edge): Pure nature and rustic. This edge definitely makes an impression and has a more rustic look.
  • Swiss edge: This is characterized by its beveled shape, where the tabletop tapers towards the bottom.

Solid wood planks are a natural product and exhibit natural tensions that cause the wood to "work" over time and react to various environmental factors (temperature, sunlight, etc.). These forces vary depending on the type of wood, including growth rings, moisture content, and the general tension on the board.

To counteract these natural variations, our wooden planks undergo a drying process, reducing their residual moisture content to 6-8% before being encased in epoxy resin. Furthermore, the tabletop is reinforced multiple times with a table frame featuring additional steel profiles to effectively counteract the effects of natural wood movement. Despite these measures, a tabletop encased in epoxy resin and solid wood may warp slightly, but only minimally (up to 10 mm per meter of width), which is hardly noticeable in everyday use.

Our surface sealing methods include either lacquering or oiling. For lacquering, we use a high-quality two-component lacquer applied in several coats to create an excellent barrier against liquids and dirt. We offer a choice between a matte or glossy finish. For deeper damage or scratches, we recommend sanding the tabletop to completely remove them.

When oiling, we use high-quality furniture oil that gives the table a matte or satin finish. In this case, it is advisable to re-oil the tabletop periodically to maintain long-term protection. The oil can be selected in a matte or high-gloss finish. For deep scratches, this method also requires sanding the tabletop and re-satinizing or polishing. Small scratches can be removed with a polishing tool or machine.

Epoxy resin alone is not naturally UV-resistant. Therefore, we exclusively use epoxy resin with an integrated UV blocker and always add a small amount of color pigment. This prevents potential yellowing due to UV radiation or heat, or makes it virtually invisible.

The oiled tabletop should be re-oiled every 3-6 months during the first year, for example with standard worktop oil from a hardware store. To do this, lightly roughen the surface with 400-grit sandpaper (be careful not to sand too close to the resin to avoid scratches). Then apply the oil with a cotton cloth, let it soak in for 30 minutes, and remove excess oil with paper towels. Repeat this process after 24 hours.

Micro-scratches in resin can be removed up to a certain depth using a car polishing machine and acrylic polishing compound. Deeper scratches require initial sanding with a grinding machine.

If the tabletop is lacquered, scratches should be removed by a professional. The affected area must be completely relacquered to achieve a uniform finish.

We do everything we can to ensure that every table meets our customers' requirements and fully fulfills their expectations of a "table for life." Nevertheless, an epoxy resin or solid wood table is a natural product and will never perfectly match the images and pictures communicated and exchanged prior to a project. Therefore, we ask you to carefully read our complaints checklist .
